How to Tie Your Aerial Hammock

Supplies
  1. Aerial Silk
  2. Two (2) Figure Eight Descenders (a.k.a, "huit")
  3. Two (2) Williams Screw Lock Carabiners (or other carabiners)
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. The materials needed
2. Insert one end of the silk through the large hole in the descender. On the left side, make sure there is about 2 yards/meters). Depending on the height you are hanging the hammock, this amount may need to increase.
3. Tie an overhand knot and tighten.
4. Tighten the overhand knot.
5. Tie another overhand knot and tighten. Make sure that shorter end of silk goes over and under the main length in the same way as in the prior step.
6. Tie a third overhand knot and tighten. Make sure that shorter end of silk goes over and under the main length in the same way as in the prior step.
7. Connect the carabiner to the descender, and you are done!
